“Can you teach me Data Science from scratch”

I’ve been getting a lot of emails recently asking me to explain Data Science from scratch in the simplest terms possible.

Well Data Science itself is a very broad term so of course if you don’t have a grip on the basic tools, you won’t be able to understand it completely.

Let me start by breaking Data Science into the 5 Main Tools:

• Excel

• SQL

• Python

• Power BI

• Tableau

If you have a good grip on each of these, then you’re good to go on your way to becoming a Data Scientist.

If you, however, DO NOT understand these, then it’s almost impossible for you to learn Data Science.

Why is this?

Let me give you an example.

Let's say you’re building a wall but the foundation bricks are not properly put together, no matter how well the wall is built on the upper side, but if the foundations are weak, it will fall.

The same is with Data Science. 

No matter how much better you are at Data Science, if you lack the basics, well then it can be argued whether you’re a good Data Scientist or not.

So what is the solution?

I’ll give you the solution but it will only work for some of you, not because there are flaws in my solution, but because of your commitment to my solution.

If you make sure to commit and take action on whatever you learn, I’ll make sure to help you learn Data Science in the simplest way possible.

Now let’s come to the solution…

The solution is obviously to learn the basics.

Now how can you do this? Each of the 5 tools I mentioned above are complicated, especially for a beginner, and there will be some problems that you’ll face while learning these, won’t you?

For example, while learning Python, you might experience indentation errors due to Python's reliance on whitespace.
